Beto Gatti

Sculpture · Bronze · Resin · Digital art

Beto Gatti is a Brazilian visual artist from Barra do Piraí, in the interior of Rio de Janeiro state. Trained in Design, he first developed a strong relationship with photography and later worked in fashion and advertising, collaborating with international brands and publications. His practice subsequently expanded into sculpture, digital art and other contemporary formats. His sculptural work includes pieces and series such as Saudade, Cabo de Guerra, O Mito da Caverna, Desconectados, Realidade, Virtual, Primórdios Digitais and the broader A Origem project. He works with materials including bronze and resin, while also incorporating digital processes into his practice.

Gatti’s work is marked by a tension between introspection and observation of contemporary society. Time, technology, the real and virtual worlds, screens, connectivity, identity and the human condition recur throughout his sculptures and digital projects. His visual language is figurative, symbolic and at times Pop-influenced, yet the work remains strongly conceptual and existential. Spirituality and reflection on mortality, roots and the relationship with the Earth also shape his recent work. In A Origem, these concerns become a broader meditation on technological progress and the need to reconnect with origins and direct experience. Gatti has exhibited in Brazil and internationally, including presentations linked to Art Basel Miami, ArtRio, SP-Arte, galleries in Europe and the United States, and the A Origem exhibition at Rio de Janeiro International Airport (Galeão).
