This is the monumental cast of Idan Zareski’s whistler, standing 220 cm tall with a footprint of 174 cm. The pose is the same as in the collector formats, and that is precisely what makes the scale work: at this size the relaxed posture, hands in his pockets, chin lifted, whistling, stops being charming and becomes imposing. It reads as complete self-possession.

The feet carry the piece. Enlarged far beyond anatomy and planted flat, they give the work an unmistakable silhouette from a distance. Zareski uses this exaggeration across the whole Bigfoot Family as a sign of origins and shared ground: the feet are the only part of the body that touches the earth, and enlarging them makes that connection literal. Here the figure is finished in a dark body with a gold hat and gold trousers.

At this scale the work functions architecturally. It can hold an entrance, a courtyard or a double-height lobby, reads as pure silhouette from afar and rewards approach with the detail of its surface. Works from the Bigfoot Family are installed in public spaces across several continents; a placement here joins a documented international body of work.
